GRID-TIED SOLAR SYSTEMS
A Grid-Tied System is one which links to the mains to feed electrical energy produced by a photovoltaic system back to the local electrical grid. This produced energy is used to offset the daily kWh used per day from the electrical grid.
Hybrid Systems can export electrical energy produced from photovoltaic solar systems to the electrical grid as well as store excess energy in batteries, which can be used to service essential loads during load-shedding.
OFF-GRID SOLAR SYSTEMS
Stand-Alone or Off-Grid Solar Systems are installed in situations where mains power is not available, or the client wishes to become completely independent of the grid.
All power is generated by the solar panels; a battery bank stores excess power for use at night or when the sun is not shining.
